Lessons I’ve been learning:
I’ve learned that sometimes the dreams we hold on to have to die so that new and better dreams can be born out of the brokenness of what we once had.
I’ve learned that the people who don’t seem to care sometimes care the most.
I’ve learned that its okay to cry when it hurts, but sometimes it is better to just cry inside and keep smiling.
I’ve learned that every day has a miracle hidden in it. We just have to look for it in unexpected places.
I’ve learned that love grows sweeter and sweeter with time, and stronger with challenges.
I’ve learned that patience pays off.
I’ve learned that sometimes risking personal pain to show love and to be there for someone who has hurt you in the past is worth the risk and the pain in the long run.
I’ve learned that no matter what, we have to keep hope alive in order to keep living and loving.
I’ve learned that God is in control and even when everything feels out of control, that He sees the big picture and that if we wait on Him, He’ll make it all clear someday.
I’ve learned that God likes to use the unexpected and the uncommon things in life to teach us the greatest lessons of all.
I’ve learned that even though there are more bills to pay than I think I’ve got pennies to cover, that God provides and I need to trust that and not worry about tomorrow.
I’ve learned that silence doesn’t mean that I’m all alone.
I’ve learned that I serve a God who loves little things and takes notice of my heart’s desires.
I’ve learned that knowing He is faithful is enough but that holding on to that and trusting Him in every situation when everything is so confusing can be harder than running a marathon or lifting a grand piano.
I trust Him, I trust that He is faithful and true. I have seen His hand and tasted of His provision. But trust is a daily experience, and this year I’m learning more and more about trusting Him to make all things beautiful and good in His time.
