Written by Rhonda Gowler Greene, this sweet little book for young children, Baa! Oink! Moo! God made the Animals, lets them go to the farm and meet each of the animals living there. The little boy in the story asks his mama each time he meets a new friend if God made this animal too. The sing-song-y story style and the sweet pictures make it fun to read and reread. At the end of the day, with a new puppy snuggled up close, the little boy listens as his mama tucks him into bed and tells him that God made him very special too.
Charlotte has always been a lover of books and animals. It’s little surprise that nearly all of her favorite books are books about animals. And farm animals hold a special place in our hearts. So naturally, when Baa! Oink! Moo! showed up in the mailbox, she was absolutely tickled about having a new book that featured some of her favorites inside. A year later, and she still picks out this title at bedtime–and Landon is getting old enough to enjoy it, too! It reminds us of another favorite book we love to read at bedtime, Night, Night Farm. Both of them are great additions to your library if you are looking for sweet stories with animals in them for little ones!
As you all know by now, when it comes to children’s books, I really pay attention to the artwork too. These drawings are sweet and simple and yet each animal is easy to recognize and point out. Perfect for little ones learning the names and sounds that each animal makes!

P.S Hey, blog! I don’t know if anyone reads this anymore. I’ve been gone a while–and I’m not sure exactly how to start up again yet. But I think I’m ready to try my hand and writing here again. If you’ve missed the yearly reading challenge, it’s going strong in my facebook group. Come and join us, if you’d like!
