I Live.
I’m just an ordinary girl, living an ordinary life. I’ve lived in lots of beautiful places [Alaska, Colorado, Northern Idaho, Tennessee!], and had an adventure or two along the way. But most of my days are spent in the simple pursuits of life. I enjoy hard work, keeping house, experimenting in the kitchen and hanging laundry on my new clothesline. I love working from home. I’m excited about my virtual assisting and social media management business, and love what I do. (many thanks to my friends and sponsors who have helped me keep dreaming and trying, by giving me work or buying adspace from me)
I am a sinner, saved by God’s Grace. All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to Him, and Him alone.
“I am not what I ought to be, I am not what I want to be, I am not what I hope to be in another world; but still I am not what I once used to be, and by the grace of God I am what I am” ― John Newton”
I am a sister(in-law) to many, auntie to four. I have honor of being married to my very best friend, and we’re expecting our first little girl in August. Every single ordinary day is filled with beauty and joy that God gives by filling life with laughter and love in the form of so many little things.
“Every day may not be good, but there’s something good about every day.”
What more could a girl ask for?
I Love.
My Saviour, who is my hope and my stay, and who patiently teaches me to embrace beauty both in the sunshine and in the rain.
My Sweetheart, who loves me in spite of my mistakes and because of my quirks. Imagine that? He is my best friend, my confidant, and the one who balances me out so perfectly. We tied the knot on March 15, 2009. Being together has been the best and happiest decision of our lives.
Our bebe on the way. Every little bump I feel, and I fall in love with her more. I can’t for us wait to see her, hold her, and watch her grow with my guy.
My family. We’re all a little crazy, but I can’t imagine life without a single one of my siblings, siblings-in-law or either set of my parents. Or the little people who call me “Auntie”.
Little, random things. Like running barefoot in the grass. the Fourth of July. Picking wildflowers. Feeling rain on my face. Clotheslines. Old books. Real letters in the mail box and pretty stationery. Skype. Lightning bugs and long walks. Taking pictures and pretending I’m good at it. Playing in the dirt with my niece. Growing a garden.
I Write.
When I write, I feel like an artist painting a picture. Writing takes work and practice, and right now I’m just a scribbler who tries to write. Someday, I dream of really writing. I blog here to share my perspective on life, what I’m cooking, how my garden grows, and about the books I read. I share little pieces of life on @cbrankshire, and on facebook. I don’t just write for myself. I have written articles as a source of income and even had a job updating a blog with content once.
Find me and my occasional scribbles at the blogs I contribute to.
