Time gets away from me a lot these days.
I’ve been writing my to-do lists and seeing a few of the same things written and re-written for more days than I generally care to admit. It is partly because I’ve been so very busy and even more distracted. (Speaking of distracted, check out this picture of the newest cutie! Totally and completely heart melting, this guy is.)
I have to be honest and say that I can’t blame it entirely on busy or distracted, though. Lately, I’ve some how found my train of thoughts, organization and motivation has derailed itself and I’ve not felt like taking the time and effort to pick up the pieces of the wreckage and get back on the track again. And that has to change.
So, I wrote myself a new to-do list. I have given myself a good scolding and a personal pep talk. I’m getting back on track, and it is feeling good, even if a little overwhelming after my few weeks of derailment. Things are changing and it is going to be good.
Of course, the list is a bit of a long one. I have plans to:
- finishing spring cleaning in the last few closets
- getting back into doing my menu plan (again)
- finishing up a few sewing projects that have been laying around for ages
- revising my weekly cleaning routine to better fit our life right now (and add in a daily decluttering goal)
- write a lot of letters
- finish off several books I’ve been reading for months now
- exercise more regularly
- weed my garden more often than just when I have to
And I’ll spare you the fullness of the list. But somewhere right in the middle of it are some blog related “to dos”. This is where I’m going to need your help.
One of the sections has to do with a major blog space update and you should expect some dust in the next week or two. But while I’m making dust, I want to get your feedback. If you have a moment, I’d be ever so grateful for some criticism or comments on the current look and feel and function of this blog.
What do you love?
What do you hate?
What should I definitely keep and what should I definitely get rid of, look wise?
What do you wish I would do more of?
What do you wish I would do less of?
If you have a moment this afternoon or this week, drop me a comment or an email and let me know?
I love the lighter green background! It’s looking great!
What about making your link text in your top bar a bit bigger, a fun font, or centering it?
Thank you for all your help!! :) I was just trying to figure out how to make my font bigger. For some reason this particular layout is being stubborn about letting me center, but it should let the font be bigger. Googling that in a minute… :)
looking good, Chantel! Isn’t it fun to redecorate and freshen things up! I hope you enjoy your new space!
It is! I am pretty good at leaving things alone, but every couple years it is fun to change something…small or big, to keep it fresh and new feeling. Hope it works out to meet up with you later this month!
Aww, that pic of him is so precious with his cute little adorable smile :)
I need a personal pep talk myself… my to do list isn’t getting crossed off very quickly. Which reminds me… I should take advantage of the rainy weather and mop the house today! I’m gone so much now that certain things get pushed aside and don’t get done until they’re “desperate”!
I like the new spring cheery look and I think your blog is practically perfect as far as the content goes :)
Aw, thank you. He is so very precious, isn’t he? :D
Nice blog, beautiful photos.. :) Im new at all this stuff, but I liked too much seeing your blog.
Thanks, Gabriela, for stopping by! :)
