I made this little (unedited—you’ve been warned!) video blog of some of the children’s books I have as a part of YLCF’s Children’s Book Review day during March of Books 2012. If you read over there, you will also see a review I did of a book I loved as a little girl.
Enjoy and be sure to link up with some books of your own!
Oh, we loved this!! My girls exclaimed not only over your familiar books, but over your “nice, clean house”! They thought it looked nicer than ours. I suggested we try to follow your example and keep ours picked up. :) :)
The finger plays book is adorable! Oh such fun titles. Thank you for sharing!
Aw, those girls make me laugh. :D You can tell them that my house is not always nice and clean… but we try. ;)
I love that finger play book! I wish it wasn’t so old and falling apart because I would spend more time learning them all to teach to my niece. :)
Goodness! I’m already thinking of places to hunt down a few of these titles. I may have the Little Bear title, but I haven’t had a chance to read it. I thought the story looked cute! Where do you find most of your books? Loved the video! :)
The story is adorable! I think you’ll like it. :)
Most of the books old books were ones I got from my parents, but I like stalking old church library sales or old church school sales. Sometimes you can find some real treasures that way that have been tucked in the attic for a long time. I use amazon.com because books are generally fairly reasonable there if I’m going to buy new or ebay.com to find nice older books.
Now, however, there is a HUGE used book store called McKay books in the town next to us. I would probably browse it weekly if I had an acc
Really enjoyed this! I was thinking the same thing as Gretchen’s daughters. And also? You are just as adorable as I imagined you would be :-)
There is one benefit to a tiny house and moving a lot: one, you always have the least amount of stuff possible and two, the small space means it is a quick clean. ;) And thank you! Also, unrelated, really wish we didn’t live an ocean a part. <3
You’re a bad influence on me. I just added about 25 books to my daughter’s “wish list” of books…ones that were favorites, like Little Bear, that I had entirely forgotten. I also loved the Amelia Bedelia books.
Great vlog post!
