“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.”
- Martin Luther King Jr.
I’m not a huge martin luther king fan, but this was a great quote!
Love this quote. It reminds me of this text: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest” (Ecclesiastes 9:10).
Yes! That was the verse, exactly, that came to mind when I heard this quote yesterday. :)
Wow! Beautiful! I really, really, really like this quote … :)
